I am a highly motivated secondary school counselor in New Rochelle, NY.  In January 2010, I founded an organization called FrontBulb that offers exceptional learning possibilities for young students in southern Westchester County, New York. Actively engaged as a student coach at FrontBulb, I strive to help students develop well-rounded cognitive, emotional, social, and physical skills with an emphasis on creativity, self-empowered learning, and calculated risk taking. Alongside my counselor duties at New Rochelle High School, I have developed innovative programs such as D2E, a multi-media group within the school that encourages students to be self-directed learners and to learn without restrictions through decentralized methods. During the summer months, I participate in Columbia University’s Summer High School as an Instructor and Program Coordinator.  In this capacity I develop curriculum that exposes students to the field of law through field trips, guest panels, and interactive activities that use the city as a classroom.  I was educated at the Rochester Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design with an Economics concentration in December 2002. Pursuing my career in counseling, I attended Teachers College, Columbia University, earning my Master of Education in Psychological Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling in May 2006. Committed to professional development, I am currently pursuing a second masters in Cognitive Psychology concentrating in Intelligent Technologies with the goal of developing better knowledge visualization software.
